The government’s Digital, Data and Technology Profession department have this week published a playbook outlining the capacity for technology to shape public services for the better.
The UK tech sector is growing at “2.5 times the rate of the rest of the economy”. Facilities management is recognised as key area of collaboration for development of the relationship between data tech and services.
The report outlines 11 new policy reforms from the government geared to ensure effective management of products and services, specifically pinpointing facilities management systems as an area of transformation. Policies include ensuring effective contracting that promotes digital collaboration and overhauling outdated legacy IT services while ensuring compliance to social and environmental sustainability goals.
