Based at Trinity Quay in Bristol, the six-month programme provides successful applicants with coaching, support and office facilities as well as the opportunity to network with high growth businesses.
Altuity founder, Steve Voller, says his company is looking to consolidate and grow more quickly within the education sector, as well as using its recent successes as a launchpad into the commercial environment.
“We recently claimed top spot in the Innovation in Technology category in this year’s national i-FM Technology in FM Awards, which is creating a lot of interest in our software. We hope to use the knowledge gained from the Accelerator programme to grow even faster” he says.
“With accelerated growth, we’ll have more funding available to invest in our software R&D programme. We’ve released the first version of our AR app and will develop that further while at the same time capitalising on our recent business wins.
The Accelerator programme will help us acquire new skills and contacts and raise our profile within the business and investor communities. We want to grow rapidly, in a sustainable way, and the programme will help us achieve this aim. Being part of an entrepreneurial co-working space will also be invaluable in terms of providing support and shared learning experiences with other founders and directors.”
Gordon Merrylees, Managing Director Entrepreneurship, NatWest said “We are delighted to welcome Steve and Altuity on to the programme in the Bristol accelerator hub.
‘With our unique offering that provides the right environment, coaching and networks, we help entrepreneurs start, scale and succeed every day.” We look forward to seeing Steve engage with the programme and grow the business with us.”
Altuity uses technology to differentiate its products, mainly in the way it visualises data using maps, plans and 360° photospheres. In addition it offers radio frequency identification (RFID) markers for above and underground asset tagging and an augmented reality (AR) capability. The system is hosted in the cloud and accessible both on and off-site via mobile devices.
